Why is my trading account blocked or frozen?

Your trading account may be blocked or frozen due to the following reasons:

  • Non-compliance with KYC/Regulatory norms (e.g., PAN not linked to Aadhaar, expired documents, missing income proof)
  • Dormant account (no activity for 12+ months)
  • Margin shortfall or unpaid dues
  • Suspicious or flagged transactions under SEBI/Exchange surveillance
  • Negative ledger balance or unpaid penalties
  • Client request (voluntary freezing due to loss/theft/fraud concern)
  • Account under audit or investigation by the broker or SEBI
