Why are P&L figures different in holdings vs statements?

The P&L shown in holdings reflects unrealized profit/loss based on the current market price, while the P&L in account statements or ledgers shows only the realized profit/loss from completed transactions.

  • Holdings View: Shows current value of your investment’s vs purchase price → Unrealized P&L
  • Statements/Reports: Shows actual profit or loss from trades you’ve executed → Realized P&L

This is why the numbers might differ—they’re measuring different stages of the trade lifecycle.
