What is the difference between voluntary and involuntary account freeze?

  • Voluntary freeze: You (the client) request to freeze the account for personal/security reasons.
  • Involuntary freeze: The broker or regulator freezes the account due to non-compliance, risk, or suspicious activity.
  • You can unfreeze a voluntary freeze anytime with a written/email request.
An involuntary freeze requires compliance and approvals.
