Freeze quantity is the maximum quantity of shares allowed for trading during extreme price movements when a stock hits its upper or lower circuit limit.

Most Indian brokers currently support only “day orders” valid for the trading session. GTD or GTC orders are rare or unavailable.

A GTD order remains active until a specified date or gets executed/cancelled earlier.
