What is the difference between a Trade book and a Contract Note?

  • Trade book is a live record of all executed trades, typically available in real-time or after each trading day. It shows the order details, including quantities, prices, and execution time.
  • Contract Note is a formal document issued by the broker after the trade is executed, detailing the exact terms of the trade, including taxes, fees, and settlement dates. It acts as legal proof of the transaction.
